1 Important Note

Why is “Fact Finding” so important ?

This actually “fits in” very well with the concept of creating a “No Blame” culture

No Blame:
Wikipedia talks about a _Just Culture and says: “A just culture is the opposite of a blame culture. A just culture is not the same as a no-blame culture but is a culture where individuals are accountable for their willful misconduct or gross negligence […] In a system of just culture, discipline is linked to inappropriate behavior, rather than harm. This allows for individual accountability and promotes a learning organisation culture”

“From a blame culture to a learning culture”

DH comments: “It is very important to reach views and to make decisions from an unbiased and ethical 2 mindset 3 while at the same time exercising critical analysis and independent thinking 4

“Fact Finding” of the right kind is an essential part of this and very much a part of the Scientific Method

  1. In view of DHRF’s commitment to support learning, there is a much higher “learning content” in the Research Work Streams & elsewhere than would otherwise be the case… Please be aware of that

  2. And part of that ethical yardstick is our own moral code that a person will have developed for themselves, which should able to cope with these kind of scenarios…

  3. Because of our nature as human beings, I suggest this is not a “natural mindset” for us… The effort has to be put in to develop this…

  4. I am not convinced these qualities can be developed/learned…
